Stand firm

I read something that shocked me just then:

Isaiah 7

If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not stand at all.

The chinese version said you will not stand very stablely, but the English version says: forget not very stable, you will not even stand. At all. The finality in the Lord's exact quote is so...... period.

I can see why this is the case. When persecution comes, if you are not already firm, you will not stand. At all.
